Abbie Gardner Lost Slides Presentation
Pearson Lakes Art Center

Dickinson County Museum, in conjunction with the Friends of the Abbie Gardner Cabin, will share colorized glass slides used by Abbie Gardner’s grandson, Albert, to tell her story. These slides, donated to the museum in 1992 by Albert Sharp, were recently found at the museum. Albert Sharp used them in the 1930’s to share Abbie Gardner’s story with school children and organizations throughout the area, and probably further. To our knowledge, they have not be viewed for eighty years.

In case you missed it...

We had more people attend our April 21 event than we had room for at the Monarch Lodge. Thank you John Smeltzer for this excellent video of the "Abbie Gardner Lost Slides."  Ed Purdy did a wonderful job of bringing these precious slides - and Abbie's story - to LIFE! You can see the video here.

Thank you to the Dickinson County Museum for all of this valuable and interesting information.
