The Abbie Gardner Cabin is a State Historic Site owned by the State of Iowa and managed through a partnership between the State Historical Society of Iowa and the Dickinson County Conservation Board. The Conservation Board provides daily operations and staffing at the cabin.

Admission is FREE. The cabin and visitor center are typically open Tuesday–Sunday, noon–4:00 p.m., Memorial Day through Labor Day. Hours and days of operation are subject to change based on staffing and weather conditions.
